Joe Reed grew up in Louisville, attending Ascension school from Kindergarten through 8th grade, then attending Trinity High School for four years. He then went on to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, where he earned his degree in Elementary Education. While in Bowling Green, he spent some time substitute teaching before returning home to Louisville. Mr. Reed’s interest and knowledge of technology comes in handy for his current position, and he is very thankful for the opportunity to give back to the Catholic education community.
His career has been drastically evolving during this short time at St. Leonard. He is excited to add on the role of Technology Coordinator not only for the school but now for both parish offices at St. Frances of Rome and St. Leonard. He is looking forward to working closely with the joint parish staff members to help move them to 21st-century technologies and skills.
In his spare time, Mr. Reed enjoys spending time with his wife, keeping up with his daughter Kate, who is a primary student at St. Leonard, and his toddler son, Owen. He also enjoys playing with electronics, reading comic books, and attending U of L sporting events.
